Last Saturday, the Varionet team had the chance to attend Gaming Gen 5, at the Halle de Gardanne! This gaming event was divided into three major stages:
- A game tournament, the most important of which was Counter Strike: Global Offensive;
- The Game Festival, with no less than 600 m² of stands dedicated to the geek and gaming world;
- A Digital Professions Forum, a space dedicated to schools and companies in the digital professions.
Sight and video games: the actions that will save your game!
Saturday morning, almost at the opening of Gaming Gen edition 5, the Varionet team went to this event bringing together 37 Counter Strike teams and thousands of visitors, fans of video games and games of all kinds!
When we accessed the area reserved for players, they were in the midst of preparing for the upcoming tournament. Most of them had spent the night there to finalize their strategies and improve their skills.
We noticed that many players adopted what our qualified optician calls a "turtle position": with their backs hunched, their eyes close to their screens, players spend several hours in uncomfortable positions in order to have the best possible view of their computer screen and their video game, unfortunately at the expense of their comfort.
If you are an avid gamer, or if you simply spend a lot of time in front of your computer, we advise you to adopt a straighter back posture, with your back against your seat and your arms well parallel to your desk, or playing area!
You can further improve your posture by equipping yourself with blue light blocking glasses; these will allow you to experience less fatigue in front of a screen, as the effects of light from your screens are numerous and, for many, harmful.
